Under the Waves is a narrative-driven game about exploring the North Sea through the eyes of a diver named Stan, the playable character. As Stan struggles to get through the hurdles of life, he finds himself in the isolation of the deep sea, exploring the strange events beneath the waves. Now, Stan is left with two options: get lost in the sea forever, or make it to the surface. This mysterious journey will keep the players addicted to it as they follow the main story and discover more and more of the underwater phenomenon. What will make this game even more enjoyable is the fact that you never know where it’s going to take you—you could end up in a puzzling cave, some marine wildlife spot, or maybe become prey to a creature. Aside from the beautiful graphics and exciting gameplay, the game also focuses on raising awareness of the importance of ocean preservation, as evidenced by the fact that developer Parallel Studios has partnered with the Surfrider Foundation Europe, a non-profit organisation dedicated to water body protection. Considering all the above facts, we really think that this game can be a hit among the gaming community as it promises to offer an immersive ocean exploration experience.
Will the game be coming to the Nintendo Switch?
Currently, all that we know is that Under the Waves will be released in 2023 for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S. The developers have not yet provided any official information about the game’s release on the Nintendo Switch.
