Developed by Behaviour Interactive, Dead by Daylight is a multiplayer horror survival game released in 2016 for PC, PS4/PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch platforms.
Dead by Daylight is a multiplayer horror game where one player takes on the role of the savage killer, and the other four players play as survivors, trying to escape the killer and avoid being caught, tortured, and killed. But a major issue that ruins the experience of players in this game is the “cheaters” who exploit the game’s resources and use them to the advantage of others. On this subject, Behaviour Interactive recently released a study that goes into great detail about the problem of cheaters and harassers, noting the game’s shockingly high number of bans handed out and providing a roadmap for further activities in this area. In the previous week alone, Dead by Daylight has blacklisted over 2,000 cheaters, bringing the game’s overall astounding amount of banned gamers to almost 200,000. Today, we’re going to share the roadmap with you along with a few more details shared by the developers on the same issue.
The Dead By Daylight Future Improvements Roadmap:
Above is the strategy laid out by the developers of Dead By Daylight, which aims to intensify the anti-cheat measures. Let’s see in detail what the team wants to accomplish.
Firstly, the developers want to escalate their efforts to find and patch vulnerabilities to lessen the impact of cheats and player sniping (forcibly entering a particular player’s lobby).
The second measure on this roadmap includes adding safeguards to frequent exploits, including limiting the maximum duration of a match.
Third, the server-side validation will be used more frequently, making it harder for cheaters to take advantage of the client.
Lastly, in order to make the game easier to monitor, Dead by Daylight developers also plan to enhance the player support system and reporting tools.
Till early 2023, the developers aim to complete all the above points so that the players can enjoy the game without any interruption. If you’re also having an issue with cheaters, you can go on and report that issue on the Dead by Daylight support page.
That’s all, folks! Thanks for reading. Stay tuned.
